Sensex, Nifty updates on 27 March 2025: Indian equity indices closed higher on Thursday, with the Sensex rising 317.93 points to 77,606.43 and the Nifty gaining 105.10 points to 23,591.95. Sectorally, media, oil & gas, and realty rose 1 per cent each, while auto and pharma lagged. The BSE Midcap index gained 0.5 per cent, and the Smallcap index rose nearly 1 per cent.
